One day, among the ordinary days, a mother and her two sons were at the market, engaging in some trading. While they were there, they encountered a man they had met before, someone who was also engaged in buying and selling at the market. However, the man was only aware of the mother's existence and had no knowledge that she had children.
He greeted them and inquired if she was married. The mother, politely, acknowledged and confirmed that she was married. The man then asked, "Have you given birth to any children?" She replied, "Yes, but unfortunately, I lost my two sons."
The man, surprised, asked where the children were. The mother, with a smile, pointed towards her two sons who were standing nearby. The man was taken aback, and he exclaimed, "What have you just said? How can you be so happy after losing your children? What kind of language are you using?"
The mother, calmly, responded, "I spoke the truth. What I said is indeed true. I lost my two sons, but they are standing right here in front of you." The man, astonished, said, "Explain what you mean."
The mother continued, "When you inquired if I was married and had children, I answered truthfully. I lost my two sons because, in the eyes of society, they are considered lost when they marry. They have their own lives now. So, although I physically lost them, they are still my sons, and I gain happiness from their well-being."
The man, impressed by the wisdom of the mother, apologized for his misunderstanding and gained a valuable lesson about the different perspectives one can have on life's experiences.
